How do I stop this from popping up?
Getting "GPMM has stopped working" error after upgrading to LDMS 9.5.
"GetCMSettings.exe has stopped working"
I have three new HP ZBook 15 laptops. Agents were pushed. when we launch the inventory scanner on the laptop, we are getting this error. Close the message and the scan continues.
If we run the task from the console, the task completes with a result of "Not Specified" and correct Last Hardware Scan time of when the scan completed.
So it appears the task completes if launched from console. And will complete after you close the error message regarding GetCMSettings.exe.
Thoughts??? This is a new issue for us, but also the first time we've deployed the new ZBooks.
MakeCAB Failed on Advanced Agent
I just upgraded a client from 9.5 to 9.6. I have run into an issue with creating new Advance Agents.
Selecting Advance Agent, the process has failed about 6 times. On each attempt, I rename the log file and run the process again. Comparing log files, I cannot find a consistent failure point. It will always fail when adding a particular file, but the files change from one log to the other. In some log files, the file that failed on a previous attempt was successful, only to fail on a different file. On the 7th try or so, I successfully created an advance agent - not having changed anything on the core or in the agent itself. It just worked. I attempted to create another advance agent for a different config, it failed with the same issues. 3 tries later, it works. This appears to be a file contention or resource issue. What exactly do you think is happening? Is it because the files are in use at the exact time that I am creating an advance agent? Are auto updates occurring on existing agents in the field that might cause file contention issues with creating an advance agent? Is this to be expected during this auto agent update period?

Updated 9.6 agents are now locking out my scheduler account/domain admin account
Where would I look on a client to see the errors if the client is locking out my scheduler account? This happens very frequently (3min). Please help this is getting very annoying!!
Advance agent issue

LDMS Version :- 9.6
After creating new agent or trying to create advance agent configuration to existing agent it shows error "the packages background creating process failed", I can see below in logs.
FCIAddFile() failed(SoftMon.exe): code 4 [Could not create a temporary file]
Add File [SoftMon.exe] failed!
MakeCAB failed
I am attaching the error snapshot along with logs, kindly look into this issue on priority.

Has anyone had an issue running LDdiscover.exe on any OS newer than 2003/XP?
I'm finding that it works fine on server 2003 (going away), but doesn't work on 2008, 2012, win7. It briefly worked for me when I was talking with LD support, but they say it is not a supported product (?) and couldn't help much with it; now that I need it I'm getting an error trying to use it: it logs in with the correct credentials but then I get the error "Error creating service (Access is denied. (5,0x5)". The same commands and credentials work on a server 2003 machine.
Has anyone else run into this?

I'm attempting to deploy an Advance Agent via GPO. When AdvanceAgent.exe launches it throws the following error in the event log and fails to complete the agent installation.

Query for LANDesk version
I am doing an agent install for 8.80 SP2A. So I created a query based on who needed the patch, no problem.
Then I summed up those who have with those who needed and I didn't come up with all my devices.
Now I'm wondering if all the users didn't get SP2 and are on SP1
Can I create a query to find out what version of the agent is installed?

We just purchased LANDesk and we are rolling out the Advance Agents to a dozen or so pilot users and I noticed the following error in the Windows 7 and Vista machines.
Windows 7 Event ID: 7030
"The LANDesk Advance Agent service is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."
"The LANDesk Out-of-Band Monitor is marked as an interactive service. However, the system is configured to not allow interactive services. This service may not function properly."
Is this a problem?
Will it cause issues?
Is there a fix for it?
The clients seem to be working ok at this point.

Landesk management agent service is getting stopped after restart
Hi,
I have recently migrated to LDMS 9.6, now in couple of PC after restarting the machine the LANDesk agent management service is getting stopped automatically, rest if the PC is working absolutely fine, can somebody help me in this regards?

Agent installs but taskbar icon not there
LD9 SP3
Every now and then a agent installs but the issurer icon does not show in taskbar and is not listed in notification area and in the landesk console only the remote shows.
On the client all services including residentagent are running and all landesk processes are running.
A reinstall does not fix it.
Why it causes a problem is because all installs are done remotely. The users do not want to be bothered with a complete uninstall and then a install. If i could push a registry fix or something that would help.
Also in hklm\software\intel\landesk\ there is a entry to show in taskbar and it is a 1 (which i believe is correct)
Anyone had this and a fix for it?
Bulk add machines into inventory
Is there a way to do this yet in 9.5? I have a bunch of machines (over 200) that are missing the agent. They have somehow alluded both UDD and GPO installs. I will troubleshoot those later but for now I just want them all added to LD so I can push the agent.
Agent on Ghost Image
I'm re-visting a topic I brought up a year or so ago. At that time, I asked whether we could place the LD agent on a master image that we pushed out with Ghost, rather than my having to scan all new machines on the network and perform the install via a scheduled task. The responses I got included: Yes: just do it. No: the machine identifer has to be stripped out and Sysprep won't do that for LanDesk and Maybe: make these registry changes.
We are now up to ver 9.5. So I'm wondering what the status of this request is? This would save me a ton of trouble if I could work this out.

Agent deployment : Return code 1083. How can I resolve it?

He have the same configuration, everything is ok, I don't understand.
The firewall is OK, DNS is OK, Scheduler account is OK...

Hi we used LanDesk years ago, the servers are long gone and the security team wants the LANdesk agent off the handful of XP machines we haven't been able to decommission. We were running v8.7 - I would be grateful if anyone could provide me with the UninstallWinClient.exe file.

LANDesk v9.6 Agent - Upgrade/Install
Is there a cheap and easy way to update the existing 9.5SP1/2 agents to the 9.6 agent from within the LANDesk Console?
I'm looking for a way that will have the current agents scan and update themselves as was described in :How to upgrade or patch LANDesk agents.
This worked for updating from 9.5SP1 to 9.5SP2, I can't seem to get it to work for 9.6 unless this is by design.
LANDesk Management Suite 9.6 Blue Screen

We recently installed LDMS 9.6 for a customer. When the LD client is installed on Windows Servers, we frequently get a Blue Screen of Death on most servers. I have read somewhere that this problem was applicable on 9.5 version. Is the same applicable for 9.6 too ?
Any help or URL pointers to tide over this problem will be really helpful. We are new to the LANDesk solutions.

Hello. I am currently running Landesk 8.7 Recently we pushed a bunch of Microsoft patches to about 1500 remote clients running XP with SP2. The firewall has been disabled on all. More than half the patches failed reporting that they "Cannot find agent" and/or "Cannot find agent (different agent responded"
