LDipmi.exe Hanging on Windows Servers

We have seen a process hanging (only on Windows  servers so far) that prohibits the Agent from reporting some information; Agent  Configuration Name (Campus_x) and Agent Configuration Date (which is what we've  been using to identify those devices using an earlier build of the Agent) most  notably. The process is LDipmi.exe in Task Manager. I'm not  sure yet what causes it to hang up, but I know that I can't kill it. I've tried  from Task Manager as well as command line but to no avail. The only way we've  found to kill it and get the Agent reporting all the information correctly again  is to restart the box.
I've also tried uninstalling or even installing over the top of the existing Agent. The thinking  being that maybe that would unlock that process and set things straight, but it  didn't.
So far we haven't seen that it affects the Vulnerability Scan and in some  cases the Inventory Scan from running and reporting information back to the CORE  server. But on some servers where this process is hung up, it has held the  Inventory Scan up from running and reporting.
