Hi All,
So i guess my question is if group policy can be an effective way of "re-deploying" a new agent.
Basically, i'm hoping to kill two birds with one stone.
1) Because our OU's and subnets are a little messy, GPO is really the only reasonable way I can think of to deploy the agent to new systems and assure that we have 100% coverage on all workstation.
2) since we are going to be deploying a new agent version soon, I was hoping to leverage GPO to help with this as well.
The issue I am having is more tied to number 2. Basically, if the GPO touches a system with no agent installed, it works great. However, if the GPO gets to a system with an old version of the agent running, it ignors that system and moves on.
Am i asking to much of Computer Policy? Is there a way I can differentialte my new agent so that it will not be counted as "this software is already installed' if the GP queries a system with the old agnet installed.
Your help is much appreciated!
