We recently upgraded from 8.8 SP4 to 9.0 SP2. After doing so, I noticed that about a dozen systems show that the Common Based Agent is not loaded (these systems may have been in this state prior to the upgrade, so I can't say with any certainty that the upgrade is the cause). I pushed an agent re-install from the core, but this failed to resolve the issue. I then did a complete uninstall from a couple of the clients, deleted them from the database, and re-installed. Again, I received the same results; no Common Based Agent loaded. I am able to successfully run an inventory and vulscan from the effected systems. Also, from the core I am able to access the Landesk Management home page of the affected clients. Communications does not appear to be the issue.
I'm not sure if this has any bearing on the problem, but with the exception of one system, all are laptops. Also, when I performed the unmanaged device scan for the two systems I deleted from the database, they were not recognized as Computers but were place in the Other category instead. Finally, on one of the re-installs, the console showed that the Common Based Agent had loaded, but when I checked it again about fifteen minutes later, it no longer was. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
BTW, all of these systems have agent version 8.8.0.39 and are being upgraded to 9.0.0.25.
