Question: I’m doing Windows 7 upgrade on existing PC. Presently PC has Windows XP and LanDesk Agent installed. We need to perform fresh Windows 7 install on top of this PC, therefore all data will be wiped including LanDesk Agent.
After the fresh install of Win7, I have tried to redeploy LanDesk Agent but I’m not be able to do so.
- We needed to use same device name, so old device is deleted from Network View, but not permanently from core database.
- Managed to discover using IP address on Unmanaged Device Discovery.
- Managed to put this device in to Scheduled task then I can see it on “Pending”.
- Click on “Start now” then I can see it on “Active”.
- After while it disappeared from “Active” but Agent is not installed on the device, nor I can find it “Successful” or “Failed”
My environment is
LanDesk Management Suite Version 9.0.3.1 SP2&3 installed
