I have a PC that was in my remote office. A couple weeks ago I couldn't remote to it via the LANDesk Console. Couldn't scan it or inventory it. I used Remote Desktop to get ot it.The yellow shield for AV apepars in the sys tray but it says the next scheduled scan is 9/23/2008 and there hasn't been a full scan done. I tried to update the AV defs but after a few minutes it says it can't contact the Core Server.
So I brought the machine to my office. I did a uninstall of the Agent with the forceclean command. The machine rebooted.
I did a manual install of the agent using the wsfg32.exe file from the core server (note: I have installed this agent on three other machines this week with no problems). The machine rebooted.
If I click Start | Programs there is not "LANDesk Management" option with its typical programs to do scans or whatever.
If I go to C:\Program Files, there is a LANDesk folder and it appears to have the files in the folders and files that are typically there.
There is the yellow shield for AV but once again, it says the next scheduled scan is 9/23/2008 and that a full scan has not been done. It says the virus definitions are up to date for 8/3/2010 (today). I tried to do an AV definition update but it says it can't contact the Core Server.
I downloaded and installed the Spybot program to see if there was anything that got on the machine that LANDesk didn't catch when this started happening but all it found were two insignificant cookies.
Any suggestions on what to do next?
